It is an excellent place for family vacation . The view from the room was awesome. Hotel provides boat services for getting around. Food was good and they had good variety in breakfast buffet. One issue was if anyone has problems with walking around then it will be hard to stay in this place because you need to climb many stairs to get around the places from this hotel.

The location= Awesome More than anything, the staff hospitality was beyond excellence. The front desk was manned by Anshu, Easwar and Shekhar., the help they extended is beyond what a normal hotel does. My experience was very good with all three who man the front desk. The staff in kitchen Shyam is a young 24 year old person. Really cool kiddo and if you connect with him , he will amuse you with his demeanor. It's not accessible for senior citizens . We stayed on 4th Floor in rooms 401 &402. Also they are not petty like other hotels, the minibar and snacks and few seasonal fruit are all complimentary. Don't look for food anywhere , just use their Restaurant. I will visit again

Very good location the river Ganges near Bhonsale Ghat. Short boat ride to the main Ghat where Aartis are held (Dashashwamedh Ghat). Food is decent and useful as an option to nearby local establishments which are very basic. Hotel itself has history but it is run down and needs some refurbishment. Cafe outside is nice to hang out and people watch and order light snacks/drinks. Can see camels across the river and people going for pilgrimage in the mornings. Its great river location has some minor challenges with transportation to get yourself and baggage to the hotel. It can all be arranged through the hotel but you need a taxi from the airport (about 45 minutes) and the a boat from JagatGuru Ravidas Ghat to Bhonsale Ghat. Think of Ghat as steps to the river. Your stay at the hotel comes with a boat ride from and back to the hotel each day included. Also, while most locals know this, Varanasi, as a holy place offers veg only meals and is a dry town for 1.5km. Hotels location makes it more challenging if you want to see temples which are not near the river and require car transportation. Hotel bathrooms could be a little cleaner as well.

We had brunch at Guleria Kothi. The food was great, a not-to-be-missed view as the hotel is located on the banks of the Ganga. Service was average. They had a lovely live band playing retro remixes which was a treat. They have a great spread of different cuisines to serve all palates

We had a lovely stay at the Guleria Kothi while in Varanasi! It was a true respite amidst a very busy city; it could not have been more convenient to access many of the main sites. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals there and appreciated the exceptional hospitality from the staff. Hot water for us and the facilities were lovely — it’s extraordinary to wake up with the Ganges every morning! Would gladly stay again
